Externship Opportunities

We are excited to offer an externship opportunity at Pierz Veterinary Clinic for current veterinary students seeking hands-on experience in a mixed animal practice. Our clinic serves a diverse range of species, including 60% small animals, 10% beef, 10% equine, 5% dairy, and 15% other animals such as small ruminants and exotics. This externship provides an excellent opportunity to work with experienced veterinarians in a well-established clinic that has been serving the community since 1963.

Externs will gain valuable experience in surgery, medical exams, wellness appointments, and diagnostics using state-of-the-art equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and our cutting-edge CT scanner—the only one of its kind in Minnesota. You'll also have the chance to work in our fully integrated in-house lab with advanced diagnostic tools, all while learning in a supportive and educational environment.

Located in Morrison County, MN, our clinic offers easy access to outdoor recreational activities, just a short drive from major cities like St. Cloud and Minneapolis. We are committed to providing mentorship, helping you refine your skills, and preparing you for a successful veterinary career.
